The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation offers several programs for everyone to be able to honor those who served in the U. S. Armed Forces. From joining at Arlington National Cemetery to volunteer and place flowers, to holding your own flower tribute event at a local cemetery.
“It was such an honor to volunteer and to participate in such a beautiful event. To really do something that makes a difference in someone’s day. The families I met, the people I handed flowers to, the stories of the gold star mothers of their sons that I heard, the legit smiles on peoples faces when I handed strangers flowers to place on their loved one’s graves. We were all one that weekend, no divisions. Working hard to support one another with the intent on honoring our fallen soldiers, showing their families they are remembered and valued and all with flowers. It matters. I have never been so proud to have been born into the floral industry as I had been that weekend. To see so many aspects of the floral industry come together for one common goal, to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to be part of that, I honestly have no words to describe the way my heart feels remembering it.”
