Fort Custer National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, MI, just outside the village of Augusta in Kalamazoo County. Established is 1943, it encompasses 770.4 acres with more than 40,000 graves.

Bryan works as a project manager for an electrical contracting firm and assists in managing Plumeria Botanical Boutique, a flower, plant, and gift shop owned by his wife-to-be, Elisha Hodge. When not working, he enjoys the beautiful Michigan outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and working on various projects that he has dreamed up.

Elisha Hodge and Bryan Mayes have been organizing the Memorial Day Flowers – Fort Custer event since 2017 on behalf of their flower shop, Plumeria Botanical Boutique. Our additional sponsors have included SpartanNash, Eaton, Denso, Meijer, and Old National Bank.
