Mound City National Cemetery

The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation

The final resting place for many of our nation’s greatest heroes.

Situated on fourteen acres at the junction of two historic roads in southernmost Illinois, the cemetery offers a direct link to the region’s Civil War heritage. Of the more than 8,000 buried here, greater than half – including more than 2700 unknowns – served during the Civil War.
